I would recommend this book, great price. We used it for my Licensed Nursing Assistant Class and it covers a lot.

A must book for CNA's. I read every page of it and passed my certification right away!

I haven't read the book, but I quickly scanned some parts, it looks like it covers all and it easy to read and understand. However, when it arrived the book has some dents from shipment. The price seems to go up too. I got it for 65$ and now its 70$..

Textbook in good condition. Only thing is that it smells like the previous owner or renter was a heavy smoker and sprayed it with perfume. Its horrible! As someone with asthma I abhor the smell of cigarettes.

I got my book, and it was very helpful. I graduated last month. And to have this book as a good reference is helpful at all time. I'm do glad that I purchase this book.

It was written in already and the hand print was unreadable.

Margot's journey was definitely heartbreaking in some spots especially her initial dealings with a father that she barely remembers who hasn't spoken with her going on thirty years. That relationship was the crux of the story, overshadowing the sweet romance.Sweet Tea and Sympathy is about family. More specifically it's about fathers and daughters. As we see Margot and her father's relationship somewhat mirrored by the relationship between Margot's love interest Kyle, a widower, and his two young daughters. The latter's relationship is indicative of what could have been between Margot and her father had her mother not taken her away. At first it sounds really harsh, the idea of Margot's father not trying to reach out to her in all those years, and you somewhat see her mother in a not-so-pleasant light as well, you know, taking a child away from her father and not trying to bridge that gap between them. But as the story progresses it's clear that some perceptions are only surface deep, and sometimes you have to dig in order to discover the truth of the matter.The McCready family is wonderful. Full of colorful characters each with their own unique quirks. None of them give Margot grief for possibly not wanting to stay in Lake Sackett if another job opportunity comes along, but they all welcome her with open arms even with the potential leaving hanging in the air. It's through their embracing, that she learns what families are truly all about.There's a prequel novella Save a Truck, Ride a Redneck, that focuses on Margot's cousin Marianne. It takes place more than five years before Sweet Tea. Having read the novella previously, I was thrown by things that transpired off page, and the fact that so much time had passed between, but if you haven't read the novella there should be no problems getting into this full-length story. It would just enhance your reading.I can't wait to see which McCready family member will get their story told next. And since they are a pretty close group, I look forward to checking in with the rest of the clan and seeing what trouble they can cause next!

This was a charming book. I loved the story and the characters the author creates in a back roads southern town. This book centers around Margot a women who experiences so bad luck with her current job... Because of this luck she gets offered another job by a family member in Georgia.. When she travels from Chicago to Georgia, Margot gets such a shock... You will love watching her reconnect with her crazy family. I laughed and giggled my way through this book... You will fall in love with Lake Sakett's resident principle. His closed ways towards Margot was frustrating at time, but the obvious chemistry and budding romance was fun to be a part of.This book was everything I would want in a great contemporary romance. Girl down on her luck, girl gets help from unexpected source, girl discovers family and friends that she will grow to love, girl grows through this experience, and girl falls in love. This is definitely a book I will recommend to others. This one is a #MustRead for me!

I enjoyed this book well enough though I kept feeling as if the author was trying to decide if it was a romance or about family dynamics. Both lose out and feel "light" -- I needed more of one or the other to make this book satisfying.On the family dynamics side: they were interesting but needed more depth and by the time we got to the father-daughter reconciliation it wasn't really believable or emotionally satisfying. And when it came to the crucial decision of whether to stay in Georgia or go, I certainly didn't feel the "weight" of her final decision. I could have lived with her deciding either way, the stakes didn't seem high enough. On the romance side: it had potential but I really didn't like that the heroine made all the running. Also, while there were flashes where you could see a relationship developing, there wasn't enough interaction between H/h to make the romance have an emotional impact on the reader.The best thing about this book was the humor: the dialogue was tight and snappy and very entertaining. I wanted more of that! So much so that I will try the second book in the series. The fact that this is the first in a series has me hoping that this was just the set-up to get us introduced to the town and to the main characters -- maybe the next one will be less one dimensional.

Sweet Tea and Sympathy by Molly HarperSouthern comfort in the form of family support. Big city girl learns to love rural southern hospitality and the unwavering loyalty of her extended family. Meeting a man that appears to have tragedy in his eyes but that can kiss with abandon is a huge endorsement for staying.Small town, southern contemporary romance with a few quirky characters make this romance a delightful read.I liked the dialog interaction between Margot and Kyle. A little sarcastic, a little playful. Neither is afraid to be forthright while their relationship grows. Margot’s lack of knowledge in dealing with children lead to a few funny quips.I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. I also purchased a copy to gift.

I enjoy Harper's books. They are well written full of humor and so entertaining. In this book the main character has a life changing event and has to start new. She goes from a trendy city lifestyle to something like Green Acres. For anyone unfamiliar with Green Acres it was a 1960's or 70's tv show where the city folks moved to a very rural setting. That totally dates me. Anyway, it was a good read.

Once again Milly Harper has brought two wonderfully flawed and funny characters to life. I could not put this book down and will be consuming the rest of this series quickly.

The cover made me nervous--my client isn't THAT cognitively challenged, and I rather hope she doesn't see it. It reminded me of the issues with the DBT book that has BORDERLINE PERSONALITY DISORDER on it. The system was a little confusing at first, starting off with memorizing the skills list and how to use it before we learned the skills (I'm a 20 year veteran of DBT). But the lecture notes were really helpful. I am seeing some encouraging changes in the woman with whom I am using this in individual therapy and I'm glad I tried it.

This book provides a well written and easily accessible guide to clinicans, support staff, and families of those struggling with emotion regulation. I have used this material with individuals of all learning styles and cognitive abilities with success. The pictures and worksheets aid in learning. The clear and organized approach assists those who are struggling to navigate the emotional and social aspects of themselves and their relationships with others.I am excited to start using it with my clients!

This book moved my practice forward another step. These skills apply to most if not all of my current clients. Page 200 and 201 provide the core of the program. The rest of the book is a way forward that will probably take me years to master.

This system works great with my challenged clients who had trouble understanding the original DBT material. They understand it and even ask for homework!

Full of recipes, organized by region, with authentic recipes. One review that I read said that she (the author) suggested using ketchup as a substitute....none of the recipes suggest that! In the opening of the book, she acknowledges that the ingredients listed may be hard to source (written in the 80's) and offers alternatives in that case. All the ingredients listed are authentic and each recipe has a sentence or two that tell about the recipe itself (customary way to eat, typical purpose of meal, origin of the name or recipe, etc.). I find this book to be my go to for Thai recipes. Since the recipes are not organized by type of dish (organized primarily by region as stated before), I use the index quite often. It works and the index is reasonably sufficient. Occasionally, I only have a particular ingredient I want to use and I have to flip page by page to find a recipe it could be used in. That would be incredibly frustrating for some people; however, I don't mind since I enjoy reading cookbooks.

Wonderful cookbook and travelogue of Thailand written by a Peace Corp volunteer who fell in love with Thai Cooking and the Thai people she met during her Peace Corp stint. Lovingly written. It inspired me to take my first Thai Cooking Class in Chapel Hill, NC. I am hooked on Thai food. I now grow my own lemongrass in my garden to use in recipes. This is a keeper! An excellent intro to Thai cooking and the recipes are all well described and produce authentic, delicious meals. One of the best Thai cuisine cookbooks out there, has been a standard for years. Though brief the informative sections on the different regions also make this an important primer for understanding Thailand's regional cuisines before moving on to larger, more detailed books like those of David Thompson.

Arrived before date stated. Perfect condition. Recipes seem easy to follow and will certainly be a great addition to our Thai cooking section on our shelf!

The fresh green curry was awesome, and so much better than the best of the pre-packaged curries. I look forward to trying more recipes from this book.

The year is 2011.I bought this book for $11.98.It was printed in 1997.This book is 14 years out of date.Great historical reference, but only worth about $3.00 in my opinion. Useful for generally learning about VBScript, but VBScript seems to have changed enough in the past 14 years that significant portions of this book are no longer accurate.

This is the best VBScript book and I've never felt the need to get another one. It's accessible to a novice (which I was when I first bought it) but has enough depth and richness of information to still be used as a reference guide now that I have over 5 years of experience. I can look up all the functions in it quickly (easy to forget syntax when you're programming in VBScript and client-side JavaScript at the same time), since I've marked the pages with post-it tabs, and it's well organized so that I can find things quickly even if I haven't marked them. Sure, it doesn't describe some of the newer language features that came out after it was published, but still it will work 95% of the time. I notice the same author worked on the O'Reilly VBScript in a Nutshell book, so I might check that out, but generally I don't like the Nutshell books as much because they don't have code samples.

The Active X control pad has been superceeded by DHTML. This book presented a method of creating menus on web pages that no longer works. If you don't have the latest Internet Explorer, this book is for you, but if you have Windows Vista with Internet Explorer 7, this book is practically obsolete. A new edition needs to be released.

I won't be long and all i will say is that I knew almost nothing about vbscript before I read this book and by the time I finished it I had enough knowledge and tools to program rather complicated codes! The only bad point is that the book is quite old and covers only versions 1.0 and 2.0 and requires some updating from the msn web site. But in the end of the day Paul Lomax is realy amazing and the book is really really good.

This book is NOT for complete novices like me! Terms like "OCX", "32-bit", and "server-side includes" are used but not explained at all. With some help from other books, some of the material made sense. That said, there is a lot of good content in this book. I'd recommend a more introductory book (is there one?) for true rookies.

I had been developing strictly with perl for Unix, when I needed to do some work on an NT platform I ordered this book. I used it coupled with O'Reilly's ASP in a nutshell and finished the job quickly. It is a great reference for migrating from other scripting languages.

Don't let the lack of pictures fool you into thinking that this book is for experts only. This is an excellent desktop reference as well as a good teaching tools. The CD-ROM is comprehensive, and the examples cover just about everything.
