This messianic commentary gave me most of what I was wanting. There are references to Jewish practice, tradition, and interpretation of verses. There is even occasional humor and thought provoking questions. I learned so much from this I didn't know. For example, in Genesis 6, there is a genealogy from Adam to Noah. This commentary pointed out that the definitions of those names put together makes a sentence that predicts the Messiah.The down side is definitely the spelling and grammar errors, of which there are many. Sometimes it seems a little preachy, but these negatives do not outweigh the beauty and Jewish flavor of this commentary. I very much enjoyed it and hope they do more of the Tanakh.
Some teachers study years to understand the language and symbolism of the Jewish Old Testament. I appreciate this writing because I do not choose to learn Aramac or Hebrew. I especially like the clear prose, and the explanations chapter by chapter. This is an interesting bible study help, and it was free! Can't beat that!
Dr. Gary Gardner's Messianic Torah with Commentary is an exceptional work with insightful commentary. It helps connects believers in Yeshua HaMashiach (Yeshua the Messiah) with their foundational text: The Torah of Moshe. I highly recommend Messianic Torah with Commentary.
I love the commentary and the occasional Hebrew word explained. It definitely deepens one's understanding of the scriptures. BUT Adonai is not defined as lord. It is our God, the one and only, LORD. Will see what other errors there are, if any, as I dig deeper.I do like that the end notes are in two places: at the end of an area (no more than 2 ebook pages away) and linked to the end of the book. You can just read through the commentary if you want, or read the scripture with commentary. Like scriptures are linked together, as well.
Good book with the commentary overview from the Messianic perspective. Helpful in the research of Hebrew words and phrases needed to understand more of the Hebrew roots movement. It is a great addition to my library.
It is refreshing to read Torah, Messianic and contemplate the commentaries. Today's reading was just rightly needed. Try it, you'll like it! Shalom!
I really love this Torah with commentary. The commentary sections could be a bit more extensive and in depth but overall I would recommend this to all. The Word of G-d is always a blessing!
It’s is easier to read and understand. I love the commentary that is in the chapters instead of bouncing back and forth to another book
